Ready to live the semi-crunchy lifestyle and make better choices without the sacrifice? 

I know what it’s like to want to cut out the chemicals and make the healthiest choices possible for our littles without sacrificing on toilet paper, pizza, and the occasional convenience of a wet wipe. It can be incredibly time consuming to find alternative baking ingredients to cut out the processed food but still serve that first birthday cake. I know..because I’ve done it. 

I know you want to make the best choices you can for healthier lives without all the stress and frustration that comes from having to wash a million cloth diapers every week. 

Hey I’m Janneke [YAHN-nə-kə]! I am a semi-crunchy mama to show you that you can make better daily choices without loosing your mind. 

I was always a little eco conscious but when I found out I was pregnant this instinct flew into overdrive. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t adding unnecessary chemicals to my littles life just because I didn’t know better. So I took the mantra “know better, do better to heart” and I started living what I call the semi-crunchy lifestyle. 

I define what my crunchy priorities are and then am flexible on the things that are less of a priority, like choosing natural disposable diapers. I’d love to go the fully cloth route but I just don’t have the time it takes so I’m flexible where I can be. 

I also started the oily journey and have been incorporating essential oils into our family’s daily life to support our health and help cut down on the toxic chemicals we have in our home. 

I feel so much better about my decisions and while I wish I could be a fully crunchy mom right now the semi-crunchy lifestyle is where I’m at. And I want you to know that just because you can’t or don’t want to be a fully crunchy, eco-friendly, toilet paperless (because it’s better for the environment) kind of mom. IT’S OK! Learning about your choices and then making the best one that you can is what it is all about. 

I know there are going to be a lot of people out there who feel like I should just dive into the crunchy lifestyle if I’m going to be a semi-crunchy mom but I’m being realistic about what I can do for my family. And I’d rather make better choices than avoid it all together. 

I started my blog to help other busy, tired, and health conscious moms a resource that they could learn about tips, insights, and products that will help them live the semi-crunchy lifestyle without losing their sanity.
